Privacy-first design
Selfies are processed in-session and not stored as permanent biometric data. Pixbox generates a mathematical face embedding from the selfie, uses it for matching, and discards the image. Guests do not create accounts and are not linked to a persistent identity across events.
Face embeddings generated from event photos are scoped to the individual event — not cross-referenced against other albums or external databases. Designed to meet GDPR requirements.

Do guests need to install an app to use AI face matching?
No. Guests open the album link in their phone's browser — iOS or Android. They take or upload a selfie directly in the browser. No app download required.
Are selfies stored permanently?
No. Selfies are processed in-session to generate a face embedding, then discarded. Pixbox stores the mathematical embedding (a vector), not the photo itself. This design is GDPR-safe and does not create a permanent biometric profile.
How accurate is AI face matching at weddings?
Accuracy depends on photo quality and the selfie provided. Pixbox handles lighting variation, glasses, and moderate angle differences reliably. Faces that are more than 50% obscured, very young children, and near-dark photos may not match reliably. Most guests at a standard wedding event find their photos within 30 seconds.
